LawPulse — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026 · Product-design draft — have qualified counsel finalize before launch in each jurisdiction.

LawPulse is a lawyer-matching platform. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

Account details you provide (name, email, password); intake information about your legal matter (practice area, jurisdiction, and your answers); booking and payment metadata (processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers); messages you send to support or attorneys; and technical data (device, approximate location for jurisdiction detection, usage analytics).

How we use it

To match you with verified, licensed attorneys in your jurisdiction; to process bookings and the flat platform fee; to send confirmations, reminders, and service messages; to verify attorney credentials; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Legal basis & sharing

We share the minimum necessary intake details with attorneys you are matched with, our payment processor (Stripe), calendar/notification providers, and infrastructure vendors bound by contract. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.

Attorney–client confidentiality

LawPulse facilitates connections but is not your attorney. Communications through the platform before you engage an attorney are not privileged. Do not share sensitive case details in intake beyond what is needed to match you.

Data retention

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and regulatory purposes, then delete or anonymize them. See the Data Deletion Policy to request erasure.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA), you may access, correct, export, or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing. Contact privacy@lawpulse.example to exercise these rights.

International transfers & security

Data may be processed in the US, Canada, or the UK with appropriate safeguards. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure.
